Friends of the Enemy (F.O.E.)

Helios Upstairs July 2nd 2005

Personally I was late for the show about an hour. Coincidentally they started late and I got to see at least an hour of this kickin show.
That’s just how cool this band is, you drive up late from Galveston, get lost, and everything still works out. This was my third time viewing a F.O.E. Show, and it was well worth the stress of barely making it. Helios sounded great. I got there, paid my five and followed the sound upstairs. Boom, there they where in this bedroom looking upstairs with F.O.E. at one end and a bar at the other. They did a few new numbers, they’re currently working on a new cd. I heard one and I knew I wouldn’t be let down by this group.

They grooved on through the late night everything sounding perfect and then the end, Robot Samari, Me & My Friends closer combo. Oh it don’t get any better than that. Each member in this band puts out more effort than most whole bands. There sound only leaves this classic rocker to come up with the new category Rock & Flow. And the lyrics aren’t for the retarded either they’re conscious, intelligent, quick and good spirited, no negativity here. The Friends will be back at Helios August 6th, and I know I'll be there on time, this time.
