Yo Howdie gee folks. Permanent Eclipse 2006. We need picks. No seriously we are in another pick famine at the practice house. Please send all your un-used or pick donations to Permanent Eclipse 3401 Avenue Q, Galveston Tx. Otherwise the Balinese gig was fun, and we'll see about some Febuary anniversary shows for ya. If we can ever seem to finish off this bottle of Pancho Villa that is still leftover from the New Years.
12/14/2005
Hot Gig on the Gulf Coast Saturday Night. Permanent Eclipse opens for Sean Reefer & The Resin Valley Boys at the Balinese room. You heard me. Come one come all it's got interesting written all over it. Check out the gig section.

I feel like dust is flying off this
page as I type. But I suppose it hasn't been that long.
Oh my
GOD wait
it has! We've been practicing and doing a little recording. I suppose we can let
you in on some of those demos. Check out The Best of Gmail in the
Tunes
section. and don't forget about Practice Stratfixed our last live Practice
recording. Thanks for checking in with us and good morning to ya,

8/28/2005 Check out the MySpace site James setup. It's got some great stuff on it, www.myspace.com/PermanentEclipse Sorry there hasn't been any Gigs in a while but the guys have been doing some recording here lately so you might be able to catch some of those tracks on the new MySpace site.
8/15/2005 Monday night, just going through the tunes we recorded last nizight. That's right Last Live Practice recording using the old school method until we can figure out something better practice. In honor of James' guitar we'll call it Practice StratFixed. Enjoy it, I know the fellas had fun as they worked on these tunes.
8/8/2005 Hey All, I'm starting a new site - www.unionofhuman.org - it will be a site devoted to Anti-Society ideals, environmental awareness and music. I will feature bands that focus on those style topics in their lyrics but also just good bands regardless of their message will be discussed as well. The site should be up and running by Wednesday at the latest but maybe tomorrow. Thanks, Joe Jones
8/2/2005 Is it August already? Golly two weeks of vacation\binge and I'm all outta wack. Gotta get in wack and back to the stone. A lots happened actually. We got another great P.E. cartoon featuring one of our favorite Strand Persons. We got this weeks Cool Bands Gigging in the Houston Area, damn good line up this week. And we got a new practice in the Tunes section, of course the best one yet, sit down, turn it up, and take a listen.

7/12/2005 It's official young master Duke is a full fledge Jedi. He has completed his training at Home School High. I always knew the force was strong within the young Josh. First Home School then the World. Now this weeks Cool Bands Gigging in the Houston Area
7/5/2005 The first ever Band Reality Slide Show Comic. And this weeks Cool Bands Gigging in the Houston Area.
6/29/2005 Spur of the moment-short notice gig. Thought I'd mention it in the news section. Check it out on the Gigs Page
6/27/2005 Been neglecting the site, two music festivals and the guys had two gigs. All in two weeks. I've been one busy Joe. But we're back on track and here's this weeks Cool Bands Gigging in the Houston Area. We'll try to get some gigs of our own for July pretty soon.
6/15/2005 This weeks Cool Bands Gigging in the Houston Area page.
6/7/2005 Since I'll be in Tennessee this weekend seeing all sorts of kick ass bands and Permanent Eclipse won't be giging this weekend and regardless if they do I've decided to start a weekly Cool Bands Gigging in the Houston Area page. Hopefully some can use it for a good source of live music. And always keep an eye on www.SpaceCityRock.com their featured band list is strangely tasteful. Also I'd like to start a Galveston to Houston carpool for folks down here who want to take turns driving folks up there and back to see and hear cool music. Email me at permanenteclipse@permanenteclipse.com to help set up a network of music loving humans who reside in Galveston.
5/31/2005 The Friends at the Rhythm Room June 2 folks. They're our top dogs of the Links page. Go see them.
5/23/2005 The story behind this band comic revolves around the fact that Ben can watch any of the guys play something and mimic it without problem.

The show must go on. This just freakin in,
12:17pm, the Band will be playing at Poor Michaels on the Strand Friday Freakin
Night! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH! Schools Out Celebration Continued lives on! And
it's our first weekend gig ever. For
more details check the Gig section. Oh and if you just can't get enough good
music till then check out The Reverend Horton Heat at the Engine Room in Houston Thursday
May 19th. And in Galveston there's always open mic at Wreck's Acoustic Cafe in
between Market and Postoffice on 20th on Thursdays. And also check out the
Rockin for the Rise benefit that the Meridian is throwing Saturday 21st. The
Meridian is an awesome place to see shows, The Rise is a school for special
kids, and Rock & Roll is actually a music genre that died some time ago, but
every now and again it supernaturally crosses over to our plain as if to say
,"I'm back motherf(%<{!?$s!"

The first Permanent Eclipse Band Comic is out. Here we have it,
thanks to Josh.
5/1/2005 I can't put my finger on it but for the last week or so I've felt a terrible tremor in the force around the Galveston Area.
4/28/2005 School is getting close to an end. The summer is in front of us. It looks like I might just pass my courses this semester, 4 years and I'm finally a sophomore! Well all, be sure to celebrate with the P.E. crowd in May and check out Practice Punk in the Tunes section.
4/25/2005 The website was shut down over the weekend. The FCC demanded that we clean up the language on our site. No, I'm just fucking kidding. Ha ha, but we are trying to get their attention though. The truth is I crashed the site, I love computers they're so much fun. Should have some Gigs posted this week so stay tuned.
4/18/2005 The Guitar Pick Fund Raiser was a complete success. We want to thank all who donated their guitar picks, it's a shame you don't need them, but I'm glad the band can use them. Apparently they're up to their asses in picks now. So please hold off from sending anymore as of now. I'm sure we'll start up the fund raiser again next year, thanks a lot everybody.
4/9/2005 Thanks to Leslie Swick the band got to play out at A & M University at Pelican Island yesterday. Thank You Leslie and thanks to all the students who came out to act like a kid again at Spring Fest 2005. I know the band had a blast and the students looked like they were having a great time. A & M You Rock! Spring Fest 2006 will be even better!
3/28/2005
Guitar Pick Fund Raiser. The guys at Permanent Eclipse have
informed me that they are experiencing a shortage of guitar picks. So if you
have any old picks laying around the house please donate them to Permanent
Eclipse. The guys would greatly appreciate it and I'm sure your efforts can be
rewarded some how, like say a song dedication or even a particular request at
one of the next shows. Thanks for your support, just send a brief letter along
with the picks telling us about yourself.
3/24/2005 Tomorrow is Good Friday. I'm not sure why they call it Good Friday, considering Christ's death was probably one of the worst things that happened on this planet. It's the truest shame of all time. Regardless, over this weekend let's try to be as cool to one another as possible. Because before we get to Hell this place and each other is all we got.
3/14/2005 Buried A Lie Rocked the Meridian! It's been reported that Bruce, one of the guitarist dislocated his knee during the show. They found where it was located and then put it back into place, he played on, Long Live Rock!
3/11/2005
Buried A Lie update, Buried will be starting at the Meridian at Two O'clock Tomorrow. That's Saturday the 12th. The Meridian is located at 1503 Chartres, in Downtown Houston Texas. The doors open at Eleven a.m. you'll see me waiting there. Over 20 bands, come get Buried Alive in Rock.

Buried A Lie
That's right our good friends Buried A Lie are playing a huge rock show at The Meridian in Houston Texas Saturday March 12th. It's an all day thing, tons of bands tons of fans. I like the Meridian it's a nice place, good bands are always there. If you would like a ticket call us at 409 354 3230 and will hook you up with Buried A Lie and get you a ticket. They're only 12 bucks.
2/27/2005 The very first news posting involves two deaths. Hunter & Korey's blue Sonata. Hunter S. Thompson, author and human died. And it's also been reported the Sonata didn't survive Thursdays show. Mr. Jones was questioned when he all of a sudden had a different guitar. He confessed to accidentally murdering the Sonata guitar. He admitted to drilling a screw into the neck of the guitar to hang a strap to. Then he leaned it up against something and it fell over landing on concrete. And it broke right along where the screw was. I asked why he drilled the screw into the guitar and he goes,"I didn't know what I was doing back then." And I go,"Don't do that to your new guitar." And he goes,"Oh I won't." There will be a small service for the guitar before the next gig. Closed cased more than likely considering the mutilation factor. The Sonata is to the left of the drums in this picture. You will always be remembered as a good guitar and friend. Sorry for the sad news hopefully things will get better.
